Kids Camp was full of activities from the moment they arrived.

To start, campers unpacked and went to the activity center to make banners/flags for our cabins! Everyone got to help decorate one. Later that night campers had the choice to either have a glow dance or go for a sensory night hike. Campers saw moss, listened for birds, looked for bugs under rocks, and got to go into the “cave” (underneath one of the cabins). The next day campers got to kayak, do archery, and go to the ropes course.

One of our counselors said that the biggest highlight of camp was the talent show. “It was great seeing almost everyone participate. There were skits, poems, dances, singing, and yoga/handstands. One kid danced to Billy Jean by Michael Jackson and did the entire dance without missing a single beat. It was amazing especially because he was one of the more quiet/reserved kids and then once he hit the stage, he was a whole other person! A girl performed a poem she wrote, and it was amazing she had never shared her poetry out loud before because she gets nervous, but with the help of her fellow campers she did fabulous. “

Overall, Kids Camp was a blast, and everyone got to challenge themselves and try something new!

Special thank you to Point West Rotary for providing a grant for Kid’s Camp to help supply activity supplies and transportation for Kid’s Camp 2024.
