UCP Family Camp was a heartwarming and action-packed adventure, offering a wide range of activities including zip lining, challenge courses, the exhilarating flying squirrel, tie-dyeing, movie nights, swimming, archery, night hikes, talent shows, and s’mores by the campfire.
The standout aspect of Family Camp is that it allows parents and siblings to experience camp along with the UCP program participant. This not only creates stronger bonds within families, but also provides an opportunity for parents to meet one another and share experiences, tips, and comradery.
A standout moment for one counselor, Courtney, was, “seeing participants who couldn’t physically climb on their own participating in the adaptive zip line.” This experience highlighted the deep bonds between families, as they supported and cheered each other on, creating unforgettable memories together. UCP Family Camp showcased inclusion, adventure, and the strong bonds within families.
