Come spend a magical morning wandering, wondering, and learning about nature at Lauren South Preserve! This activity is geared towards youth 9 – 12 years old and lead by Placer Land Trust youth educator Christina Walsh who will encourage participants to listen, smell and look closely as we ramble along approximately 1.5 miles of trail and play near (but not in!) waterways, have leaf-boat races, sketch nature up close, and experience the outdoors! Drawing material will be provided. Distance and difficulty: 1.5 easy mile with frequent stops – will take about 2.5 hours. At least 1 parent must accompany their child/ren and are asked to bring a snack for themselves to enjoy during the outing. Ages: 9-12 years Minors must be accompanied by parent/guardian at all times.
