These Adaptive River Rafting events are designed to ensure that everyone, regardless of their physical abilities, can experience the thrill of river rafting. This event is available to children between the ages of 8 and 13 and are tailored to meet the needs of each child. Everything from multiple “dive buddies” to adaptive gear is available to help ensure each child has an engaging experience. During the program, kids can go on a surface scuba dive with the aquarium’s dive staff in their Great Tide Pool, where they will meet amazing animals while getting a fish’s-eye view of the wonders of the bay. This experience is in partnership with Environmental Traveling Companions (ETC). These Adaptive River Rafting events are designed to ensure that everyone, regardless of their physical abilities, can experience the thrill of river rafting. UCP Rec believes in the power of outdoor activities to bring people together and create unforgettable memories, and we are committed to making these experiences accessible to all. The ETC experienced team of instructors, are trained in adaptive techniques and will be guiding participants through the exhilarating rapids. All necessary equipment will be provided. Participants will have the opportunity to navigate through serene waters as well as experience the thrill of tackling challenging rapids, all in a safe and supportive environment. This event is not just about the rafting, but also about fostering a sense of community, resilience, and empowerment. This event is available to children between the ages of 8 and 13 and are tailored to meet the needs of each child. Everything from multiple “dive buddies” to adaptive gear is available to help ensure each child has an engaging experience. During the program, kids can go on a surface scuba dive with the aquarium’s dive staff in their Great Tide Pool, where they will meet amazing animals while getting a fish’s-eye view of the wonders of the bay.
