Scholarships and Financial Aid are Available for Students with Disabilities

Here’s Where to Find Them

Spring. It’s the time of year where high school students are thinking about their future, filling out college applications and traveling across the U.S. to tour potential campuses.  It’s an exciting time, filled with questions of the unknown. Where will I go? Where will I stay? How will I pay for it?

In today’s world, nearly every prospective college student will need some form of financial assistance to offset the costs of a higher education. Figuring out the financial aspect of college can be hard on the wallet for most everyone, and for those with disabilities, it can be even more overwhelming when things like access to services, healthcare, and simple mobility issues are added to the equation.

Fortunately, many organizations and institutes have committed to offering ways to make higher education more accessible to students with disabilities by helping to alleviate the financial burden through scholarships and grants. The grants and sources for assistance are out there, but where do you go to find them?
