Job Summary

The Respite Assistant Program Manager supports the Program Manager in the day-to-day management of the Family Respite Services.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Purchases supplies, equipment and other materials within the program’s budgetary limitations.
  • Maintains program receipts and reconcile monthly time sheets and expense statements for respite personnel.
  • Responsible for staying within budgetary limitations of the Respite program.
  • Advises the Program Manager of the need for any program changes which effect program’s daily operations, staff and/or clients.
  • Maintains program records i.e. respite service agreements, client files, and statistical information.
  • Organizes the recruitment, hiring and training of the Respite staff following UCP guidelines and procedures.
  • Ensures that staff maintain certification in CPR, First Aid, TB, drivers license & auto insurance.
  • Provides staff with verbal or written counseling as needed.
  • Monitors administrative staff time cards
  • Runs statistics.
  • Guides administrative staff; oversees administrative staff operations.
  • Assists in the preparation of annual evaluations of Respite Administrative Staff.
  • Establishes and maintains a consumer file for each consumer, audit and purges cancelled clients.
  • Resolves family issues or concerns regarding respite.
  • Ensures client confidentiality is respected by self and others.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and equivalent experience in related human service field; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Two years previous experience working with the developmentally or physically disabled.
  • Minimum of two years supervisory experience.
  • Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification

  • First Aid Certification (Preferred)
  • CPR Certification (Preferred)

Wage: $55,000 – $70,000 / year DOE
Schedule: Full Time
